The Industrial Design module

Do all the things you don’t get to do at school.

The world of creativity is often messy, unpredictable, and purposeless. We aren’t a school: that’s why we’re waiting for you with activities you probably haven’t done before.

It’s a safe place for creative weirdness.

There’s only one condition for people to be creative: a safe place where it’s okay to be different or provocative. IDEO knows this very well, and designed d.camp to be just that.

How much does d.camp cost?

Zero. d.camp is free for all participants.

Do I have to attend all 5 days?

Yes, all participants are required to attend all 5 days. We are however able to adjust flexibly so please reach out to us if you have any concerns.

Do I have to be fluent in Japanese?

We will be hosting this year's d.camp entirely in Japanese, so you will be required to be fluent in Japanese. We are currently alternating between Japanese and English per camp, so the next one will likely be held in English!

Do I need to prepare a PC/tablet?

No, we will be holding this d.camp at our studio in Omotesando, so you will not be required to prepare PCs/tablets. You are, however, more than welcome to bring them and use it during our creative activities if you want to (you can perfectly enjoy all activities without any of these).

Does d.camp require design or engineering skills?

No! d.camp is simply a first step into the weird and wonderful world of creativity, and it is open for all. That said, if you are looking for a place to show off your design or engineering skills, this would also be the perfect place.

Then why does it say C++ in language?

Excuse our bad humor. We were just trying to be funny...
