My focus is on the intersection of software and digital design, not only as a solution but as a lens to explore and uncover new user experience possibilities. I split my time between helping IDEO iterate both in terms of design and in the whole design process.
What you won’t learn from my bio:
I'd rather be drawing a diagram of the true meaning of time and space.

Full Bio
Danny DeRuntz is an interaction designer at IDEO Boston. He has been a veteran of both the Palo Alto and Boston locations since 1996. He spent the first four years of his career developing extensive experience in 3D CAD modeling, ranging from prototypes to production geometry. Nurturing a developing interest in digital communication and interaction, Danny soon turned his attention to working with various communication tools for both internal and external purposes. Moving between video and interactive prototyping, he leverages the different digital mediums to give concepts context and feel.
Dan uses these tools to bring his creative spirit to project teams. A pioneer of design provocation and “leading-by-doing”, Dan quickly moves teams from rough concepts to finely executed visions. As a mainstay of the Chicago-Boston-New York communication design team, Dan’s inspiration has contributed to some of the region’s finest deliverables—from video & motion-graphic storytelling to interactive flash demos. He continues to add new skills to his toolkit daily.
